Hey, I am Courteney. Nice to meet you and welcome to my journey. My college career has been far from the average experience. Starting my senior year, I am beginning to realize how different my college experience has been from the average track. From being a triple major (Entrepreneurship, Finance and Business management) to studying abroad in the Czech Republic and Australia, I have been able to take advantage of so many opportunities. No matter how chaotic my college career has been, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The path to becoming an entrepreneur requires a risk-taker, someone who isn’t afraid to draw outside of the lines.

This year, instead of spending my last year in college applying for big Corporate America jobs or applying to graduate school, I am investing my time into becoming an Entrepreneur. I will be participating in the Arizona State University and Draper University Study Abroad in Silicon Valley Program. It will be an intense semester, but I am eager to learn from the best of the best. This Blog is to share this journey and share my lessons with the rest of the world.

This Blog started as an assignment in my MGT 446 Venture Capital Experience class in the spring of 2016. I am bringing it back to life after some recent inspiration from a conversation with a role model of mine, when she said “I don’t think I have ever met a college student who wanted to be a Venture Capitalist, most of us just kind of fall into it”. So I decided it was time I record this journey and share my story.
