Day Two: This Semester Going to Require Lots of Coffee
Day Two: Happy Birthday to my Mom! Thank you for teaching me be brave and adventurous.

Today is the first official day of classes at Draper University and just like a little kid waiting to go to Disneyland, I couldn't sleep because of the excitement! After meeting my new class mates last night and talking over pizza about our first startup ideas, I am so grateful that I decided to spend a semester here in San Mateo.
The dorms have a very stereotypical start-up/ Silicon Valley vibe, with bean bag chairs, ping pong tables and even bunk beds in each dorm room. It's easy to tell that this place was designed for students who no longer want to just read about the world through a textbook but instead experienced it first hand.
After receiving our schedule for the first three weeks of the program, man did we get what we asked for! The upcoming weeks are jammed pack with workshops and guest speakers.
Today, we were planning on viewing the solar eclipse from the rooftop of the building but due to typical bay area cloudy weather it's not going to be possible. So just like in the startup world it's time to come up with a new plan. Andy Tang, CEO of Draper University will be doing a workshop on what VC's look for in a company. We will also be hearing about Human Centered Design from our ASU professor.
It’s time to grab a coffee and get to work because it is going to be incredible semester!
Cheers,
Courteney
