Day Ninety: A Room On Fire!

“Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.”

Today, I am attending the Google Female Founders Conference at the Google Launchpad in San Francisco. What a powerful room full of amazing women! Today we heard from a variety of speakers on topics such as fundraising, pitching with a story and building a global product. We heard from both female and male speakers who were amazing venture capitalist, entrepreneurs and visionaries.

I am so encouraged by the females running the world in this room. Something that stood out to me about this group of women, is the want they all have to give back and empower other women through out the world. When talking with all these women each conversation was heres my company but I am excited to tell you how I am paying it forward. Many of the women I met here are advisors or mentors to younger women or have started a blog to share their journey or are speakers at women's conferences.

Then I had an ah-ha moment, we have found a solution to the problem, strong women. We have always had strong women through out the world but if we want to change the future for next set of girls, we have to get more of these women in the same room. Women tend to be better connectors and supporters then males, so when we gather in a room together the power that comes together is unstoppable. Events like Google's Female Founder summit are becoming part of the solution, empowering and reminding women just how powerful they are , as well as inspiring the generation right behind them! So just like Alicia Keys said, these women are on fire and are changing the world.
