Day Twenty One: Pitches!

"Everyone has ideas. They may be too busy or lack the confidence or technical ability to carry them out. But I want to carry them out. It is a matter of getting up and doing it." -James Dyson

Today we did our first pitches for our companies. We have been at Draper University for just about three weeks now and we have been working to create the beginnings of companies. Today we get the chance to show off what we have done.

Like James said everyone has an idea but not everyone can put into action. Every part of starting a company test your character, are you willing to do everything it takes to make it work?

Pitching has go to be one of the best and worse feelings in the world. Sharing your idea with peers is both terrifying and rewarding feeling. It is nerve wracking to get up on a stage to present something you have worked so hard to create and hoping others will be excited about your idea. Your company becomes apart of you and sharing it is like sharing a piece of you.

The feedback and the support I got from my peers and mentors was the most rewarding feeling. I have a long way to go in my pitching abilities but the first always the worst so at least it can only go up from here!

Cheers,

Courteney
