Day Fifty Three: International Day Of The Girl
“ Empowered women, Empower women”
Today, was an excited day at Draper University as always. The theme of the day of was finance, how do you make money and keep it! We spent the morning with Sara Heck from Stripe learning about how their company is removing international borders for entrepreneurs so that entrepreneurship without borders. We also did a workshop to define our financial projections and cap tables.
I also got the opportunity to sit down with three Harvard Business School Alumni mentors and review my pitch decks. It was a great opportunity to hear feedback and improve the story of my feedback. The day was finished with a pop assessment where five companies where pick to pitch in front of the class to prepare for our upcoming demo day. The pressure is on and time is flying by.
Today is also a very important day because it is International Day Of The Girl. I want to highlight this cause through today’s blog post. The idea of the day is to “highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights.”
