Day Sixty-Eight to Seventy Two: Now the Real Hard Work Begins

"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." -Thomas A. Edison

Today's port has been sponsored by Amy Williams my amazing boss from Galvanize. She was one of the first people I told that I was going to attend Draper University and was one of the most supportive people of me! She is a role model for me as well as a great friend! I feel so lucky that I get to have her in my life!

This weekend was spent celebrating our pitch day with all my classmates and say our goodbyes as most of the international students left on Saturday. It was a great opportunity to see how far we had all come in the past seven weeks and reward ourselves with a little time to relax after all our hard work.

I received some great feedback following pitch day from investors and guest of the event, which makes me hopeful in the future of Trader Jack. However, I think we are all starting to realize that the hard work is only beginning because now its time a launch our full company. The next seven weeks will be heavily focused on company logistics with the goal of having revenue by then end of the semester or investment money. Which takes a lot of strategic planning and hard work to execute the plan, so the fun has only just began.

I look forward to watching Trader Jack grow and change over the next seven weeks. Today I have spent the morning mapping out a timeline of all the goals I want to the company to achieve over the next two months. I know that the next two months are going to be full of lots of challenges but will come with amazing rewards down the line. Like the Draper University Oath says "I will make short term sacrifices for long term success."

Cheers,

Courteney
