Day Seventy Five to Seventy Eight: It's the little things
The pass few days have been a long days of working on both coding and CAD projects for our ASU classes. We have been having full days lectures of coding languages and design. The program has been very different from the first seven weeks because we have had to catch-up on so much ASU work.
Sometimes it gets overwhelming to see how much work we have to do. Seven days a week and living in the same building as your school can quickly become a lot. It's the small things that really help me to get through the long days of coding class. Sometimes we will all just break out into song and dance after hours of looking at our computer screens, or someone will crack a good dad joke.
There are going to be classes or tasks that you are not to excited to do but a good attitude and some fun friends can't fix! I feel so lucky to have the classmates that make even the hard moments fun!
Today, my Facebook memories shared with me this picture from one of my first DECA projects in high school, which turned out to change my whole life. I took this project to the state competition and then ended up winning a trip to the international conference. It was there in California were I decided that I no longer wanted to go to school to be a doctor but wanted to study business.
Looking back on that project, I am so thankful for the journey that has brought me here today. There both highs and lows along the way but I think its the little things like looking back on a picture from where it all started that make it worth it.
So don't forget to enjoy the little things along the way :)
Cheers,
Courteney
